A joint statement has been released from Medical Deans Australia and New Zealand, the Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Medical Council on the importance of clinical experience for medical students’ learning and progression during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Health services, health professionals and jurisdictions are asked to support medical education by maintaining or adapting clinical placements and supporting students’ access to the clinical training necessary to secure our future doctor workforce.
