Call for applications – State Boards of the Medical Board of Australia

We are seeking individuals with an ability and interest to contribute to the regulatory work of the State Boards of the Medical Board of Australia.

Applications are now sought from registered medical practitioners and community members to fill vacancies on the State Boards in the following jurisdictions:

• Queensland – 4 community members and 4 practitioner members (incl. Chair*)
• Tasmania – 1 community member and 1 practitioner member

*Practitioner member applicants may express interest in the role of Chair; however, this is not mandatory.

The State Boards work in partnership with Ahpra to make registration and notification (complaint) decisions about individual practitioners, based on national policies and standards set by the Medical Board of Australia

Ahpra’s current COVID-19 Vaccination Policy requires all staff and statutory appointees to provide evidence of vaccination (or medical exemption) prior to visiting an Ahpra office.
