Privacy, Freedom of information and Information publication scheme

Privacy

How we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information is important. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we do this, in line with Australia’s Privacy Act.

We will update our policy from time to time, so please refer to our Privacy page for the latest version.

Freedom of information

The Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) gives any person the legal right to access documents in the possession of Ahpra and the National Boards, subject to any exemptions that may apply.

Documents can include minutes, memoranda, submissions, reports, correspondence, emails, photographs, audio recordings and metadata. Read more on our Freedom of information page.

Our Information Publication Scheme (IPS)

The Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act) establishes an Information Publication Scheme (IPS). The IPS requires Australian Government agencies to publish certain information. The FOI Act also requires agencies to publish a plan that explains how they have implemented the IPS.

Ahpra, National Boards and the Ahpra Board have worked together to develop a shared Information Publication Plan and IPS page.
