Cancelled, disqualified and/or prohibited health practitioners

The Register of cancelled, disqualified and/or prohibited health practitioners (the register) contains the names of former registered health practitioners, since 1 July 2010, who have:

  • had their registration cancelled by a court or tribunal, and/or
  • been disqualified from applying for registration in the relevant health profession.

From 1 March 2018, the register was expanded to include former registered health practitioners who have been prohibited from providing health services or using a title.

If a cancelled, disqualified and/or prohibited practitioner is re-registered by a National Board at a later date, that practitioner’s name will be removed from the Cancelled, disqualified and/or prohibited register and added to the Register of practitioners. Please call us for more information on 1300 419 495.

There is also a list of practitioners who have agreed not to practise when a National Board thinks this is in the public interest.
