International medical graduates with the Australian Medical Council certificate

The Board has an approved registration standard Granting general registration to medical practitioners who hold an Australian Medical Council certificate that defines the requirements for granting general registration to Australian Medical Council (AMC) certificate holders.

General registration may be granted to AMC certificate holders in the standard pathway who have completed a period of approved supervised practice in Australia. The Board has developed guidance on the documentary evidence to support an application for general registration - Evidence of supervised practice to support applications for general registration from AMC certificate holders.

How to apply for registration

If you hold provisional registration, you can apply for general registration online.

All other applications forms are available on the Forms page.
